You’re not a number here. You’re a name.

We’re looking for reliable operators and drivers for the season ahead — Canterbury-based, family-run, and genuinely invested in the people who work with us.

What it’s like working here

EAL is a family business, and we run it that way. We’re focused on being a person within our industry and our business — not a name on a roster.

That matters especially for the overseas drivers who join us each season: we want you to actually experience what New Zealand has to offer while you’re here, not just work seven days a week and go home having seen nothing but a cab and a paddock.

When the season allows, our team gets proper downtime — trips away, time in Queenstown and Wanaka, the sort of experience that makes a season here worth more than just the pay cheque.

We expect a lot in return. Clean machinery, tidy cabs, showing up on time, and doing the job properly — every day, not just when someone’s watching.

Roles we hire for

Silage & harvest season (October–March)

Operators and drivers for our baling, cartage and bale stack operations during our busiest months.

Winter livestock feeding

Additional staff to support large-scale supplementary feeding operations over the winter period.

What we’re looking for

The right licence class for the role, reliability, and a genuine willingness to do the job properly. Beyond that, we’re more interested in who you are than a generic CV — tell us what you’ll actually bring to the team.
